^@aniland: I did lol, but you raise an interesting point.
What sort of color scheme are we expecting to see from the new album artwork? I doubt they will go dark again. Maybe sky blue and white/light gray, as in clear blue sky with some clouds.

I'm sure that they won't entrust you with the task of creating the new album cover.

As for the colouring... I actually don't really know. Most of DT's album covers have been rather dark, so I wouldn't be surprised if this "pattern" continued. A theme with brighter colours would be a nice change, though.

I would like "earthy" colors like they had for 8vm again.  Or if the colors are bright, then maybe in the same vein as FII.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I have it on good authority that the album artwork prominently features a lot of blue and the word "Friday."  I don't think a theme based on this will be difficult.
