Take me back to the TOT era promo pics and replace Portnoy with Mangini and there you have a pop rock/alternative band.

Cool picture and no, I hadn't seen it yet, so it's cool to get an early picture of the official lineup.

It's been a while since I've really cared a lot about how a band looks, other than maybe being a little embarassed by it.  How "metal" or how "rockin'" they look doesn't mean much to me.  There are some bands that I think look really cool but I can't stand their music, and some bands I love but realistically they all look like kinda lame.  So whatever.  But thanks for the picture.

I hate to sound cheesy, but I look at that picture and see some of the world's greatest musicians standing right next to each other.  I see the potential for the next album and that, in itself, is insanely bad ass.

But it's nice to get an official pic with Mangini in, even if the background looks photoshopped in.

Two comments:

1) For some reason Mangini looks like he's puffing out his chest, which I find funny.  The guy's about 5'7" (I've met him IRL), and it seems he's trying to stretch that a bit.

2) Mangini should have rocked MP's overalls-without-a-shirt look from the I&W liner notes.
