It just seems in the absence of MP, who was one of the major writers of the band, the other guys have to increase their output because they'll likely produce the same amount of material. I'm not saying what Mike did was bad, we obviously all became fans of the band with him at the helm, but I think this could be a very cool shift.
Mike, like myself, loves the work of Stanley Kubrick who was a very controlling movie director. He was involved in every aspect of his movie's creation. He felt that it often turned out better if there was one guy running the show and that's probably true, if labels and movie studios just let their guys do what they wanted I think things would turn out a lot better. In a band with as many incredible musicians as DT though, if one guy tries to take over, other great artists inevitably get covered up.
