And ironically, while they picked drummers from many parts of the planet, they chose the one who was, physically and figuratively, closest to home.
-Marc.
I think that was more or less clear..... they always said they wanted a drummer who'd be committed to DT, who else could it have been? Priester from Brazil, Wildoer from Sweden? Come on.... okay, Lang, Minnemann, Roddy and Donati also reside in the US but Roddy said he wouldn't dedicate that much time to DT, Lang is also too busy with his clinics and stuff.... Minnemann was the only one who stirred it up a bit, but maybe he's also told them a thing or two about his mid-term plans....
Long story short, I'm more or less sure they already knew who they'd pick or at least had a general idea and just needed a rehearsal to assure themselves and 6 background actors to have some material for a dvd
But - the really great thing from this documentary is that it contained so much DT songs in the background that I spent several days investigating the songs and this film is in fact what made DT my favorite band, so my rant is in fact unfounded....
