It wasn't until today that I discovered about John Wesley's (live member for Porcupine tree) solo career and how great of a musician he is. He's released several solo albums and they sound quite good.  ;D

If you've heard him in Porcupine Tree, you haven't heard anything yet, let me tell you that.

Anyone heard his music, if so, what are your thoughts about it?  :hat

I have all his solo stuff.  Very good.  Not great.  you going to find a lot of PT fans don't like his solo's live for PT.  I love his harmonies.  I think he's a better back up singer but he's not bad.

I've heard some of his solo-stuff, Shiver is pretty solid.

He's got pretty solid albums, its not that prog-ish so I see why a lot of PT fans wouldn't be into it, and its got a fresh Southern vibe to it. He's a pretty good musician

I like his solos live, not much wrong with it. He plays sloppy on purpose, but does it in a really tasteful way. The way he does the Anesthetize solo live, I'm not too sure about that one. But the rest, awesome.

I love his voice, but I wasn't too impressed with his solo albums. Still, he came to Boston a little while ago and I was really tempted to go see him.

Never heard his solo stuff, but I think he's a perfectly fine live musician for PT.

I saw him first in 04 when he was opening solo for Marillion on the Marbles tour. I fell in love with his "sound" then and have picked up a few of his studio albums. Good stuff.
