It was destined to become a Rush vs. Coheed thread, though.  And I think most of the board has a very clear-cut opinion on that matter. 

To be honest, I don't get the comparisons, as in calling Coheed and Cambria "a modern Rush" or something like that.  It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.  And the two songs are really very, very different besides the name.

Seth, this is no slight to Coheed but through the years any band that is the least bit progressive in their music and has a singer with with a high voice has been always linked to Rush because most music music critics are pretentious while lacking any music knowledge.

I would imagine that the results would be pretty similar on a discussion forum of most rock bands.  Actually, it would be even more of a blowout in Rush's favor most of the time.  So, I am not sure why you are upset.

This is pretty much all it is.  They only did the whole "21:13" thing because a bunch of critics compared them to Rush for the reasons King mentioned when they didn't even listen to Rush until after SSTB.  :lol
