Blood Inside and Catch Without Arms are both in my top5 of all-time... so I hope to see one of them win!

Gojira - The Link
Scar Symmetry - Symmetric In Design
Miocene - A Perfect Life With A View Of The Swamp

Nobody else will choose that last one, but I had to include it because more people need to hear it

The Link was 2003

It used to be my favorite album, but as I discovered and explored more music I just happened to find much better from 2005.

Heh, I expected at least a few more fans of Meshuggah's C33. There are/were some diehard fans of them and I think a couple stated that C33 is their favourite in the band thread.

Oh welsh.

I'm a little surprised I'm the only person that even mentioned Sieges Even.

As usual, needs more of X band I just got into last week which renders me unable to appreciate anything I actually listened to in 2005.

What a joke, Sieges Even's The Art of Navigating by the Stars has been one of my favourite albums from that year since that year.  I didn't even say more people needed to vote for it, just that I was surprised nobody else did.  I remember back then there were a number of people around this forum that thought it was one of the best from that year.

I love how everyone thinks I was making a direct attack on them. I was just pointing out the general attitude on this forum about music.

OK, well, if people want to get their panties up in a bunch about it, fine by me. I think the majority people here know me and know that I don't have a problem with anyone  ;D

I only used the word attack because that's how PC referred to it.  Notice, "in a way."  Anyways, I only responded because it was immediately after my post, which makes it seem like a response to me.

I don't care what other people actually vote for, I'm genuinely curious as to the lack of mentions for Sieges Even's album from 2005.  It was a very well liked album on these forums back then, often mentioned in album of the year discussions.  This thread makes it seems like either few even know it anymore or people's opinions of it have dropped.

Has anyone here heard The Art of Navigating by the Stars?  What's people's opinions of it?

I love how everyone thinks I was making a direct attack on them. I was just pointing out the general attitude on this forum about music.

And your post was a direct parody of mine, and I've been a fan of both fans for more than "just a week."  It was a pretty annoying post, to be honest, and not really representative of the forum as a whole, so that's why I think people took offense to it.  Except for all these Mew fans who only like them because I got Sonata into them, which means they're cool now.  ;D
