Well, so I'm here too, with all of you guys :)
The biggest Polish DT appreciator is happy with the decision ;) All I want to say is CONGRATULATIONS Mike !!!! As w could see it was your dream, and it is come true, we're happy with you so much ;) I'm waiting for the new album and hoping that will be epic like hell ;)
Next thing - Peter, you're a monster behind drums!! I stick to all good words that went into you here on forum. You're amazing, great audition. Keep on rocking :)
And I was so said when I saw Aguiles fail in TDOE...I like him, and his face... :( but he's a great drummer anyway ;)
THANK YOU DREAM THEATER, for that documentary  !!!!! I was sceptical at the beginning, but now it is gone forever :)

'DT and I have a great musical vibe. But DT also need a guy who fits the band as a person, like a casting. AND someone who's ready to fully commit! I really just went in and had fun:-) and it was great and we're already planning some future projects together. I wish though I had the chance to ok the footage. I wasn't prepared to end up in a reality show:-). Have fun and thanks again from the bottom of my heart.Marco'

If you're saying Mangini doesen't deserve his spot in DT because he "isn't enough man" or "too emotional" you can take your opinions elsewhere. Emotion is only positive when playing music. Mangini definitely deserves his place in Dream Theater. Fantastic!

I'm sure he deserves as he's a great professional, no doubt
I just hope to see his emotions no more than one year :(

Just watched the video, amazing stuff!!  Was really impressed with Peter, he sounded incredbile.  Congrats to Peter for making it into the top 3.  His attitude also was wonderful.

Congrats to Mike, just watching how emotional he was really makes it clear that he was the right man for the job, he really wants it.

   If MP feels anything it is probably what he felt when he tried to get back in the band after A7X didn't ask him to be thier full time drummer....like he made a mistake leaving in the first place.
   I know he has stated he is happy and by all accounts he is...but the FACT of the matter is that this entire process was the sum of his doing...period.
  Best of luck to him and I'm looking forward to his releases coming out this year and I am looking forward to some new DT as well.

It seems like they are calling Mike from Cove City.

Did Marco know he wasn't the chosen one during Musical Mind Meld?  Was that a type of consolation prize, or just maybe a type of call-back when deciding between Mike and Marco?

    YAY MANGINI!!!  WELCOME!!!

I was one of  the few who voted for Mr. Wildoer (I enjoy his other works)  BUT  I could not be any happier the drum reigns are in your hands Mr. Mangini.  After, seeing the love and respect you gave to this job.  That drum seat was made for you!  

Was I the only pussy that teared up at the reveal? Mike's elation was pricelsss.

 I cant wait for the NEW album!!!  ROCK ON!

Yeah he looks like he was going to say "You messed up get the fuck outta here" :lol

He just didn't want Aquiles to feel bad about his mistake and I was pleased to see that both JR and JP telling him that it was okay and he did a great job. :tup

I'm happy they chose Mike. He was the obvious choice. Can't wait to hear the new album, I have a feeling it's going to be a true masterpiece.

That's a bit heartening to hear.  Less anger and more "I just didn't like the doc."

And I am really happy that they're going to do something with him.  The jam at the beginning of his segment was awesome, very LTEesque.  Just not what I'm looking for from DT.
