Peter, hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of inserting those CuBase screenshots into your initial post where you had originally meant to insert them.

Cool, thanks!

Hhmmm... problemet är väl att namnen stavas lika på alla språk.  ;)  Vi lär ju snart få veta.

Wildoer, please take any criticisms with an open mind. DTF can be very analytic (if you can't already tell) of things like this. it's probably a little weird to be so close to a lot of people seeing your audition.

Probably even a few minutes earlier. The previous episode was released fifteen minutes before the announced time.

Yeep. Although I think the last one was actually out like 10-12 minutes early. So you wouldn't be remiss to start checking Road Runners youtube page a little early.

I agree with what someone posted earlier. They didn't show Mangini play TSCO. I think they'll be like, 'Welcome to the family' and than they show Mike playing TSCO.

But isn't Marco the only one they showed playing TSCO? It's not like Mike was the only person that they haven't shown playing it.

You could see Roddy playing it. I can't remember off the top of my head about Lang or Donati, but I think they showed them too. I think Minnemann they just showed the most footage of TSCO.

I can virtually guarantee that for...whoever the new drummer is  there will be clips of whichever song you didn't hear them playing.

No worries! I've seen some people changing their opinion on me since they "hated" me for doing screams on LaBrie's album.  ;)  Also, I know that the other drummers are the top names in the drumming community while I'm the underdog so I think I'll be able to take it. Or, maybe I'll be out of here forever...   ;)

I don't get the love for Mangini. He's pretty much just Mike Portnoy imo. Nothing special, nothing new.
Well I for one was strong on wanting Marco, mainly after watching Jordan's Musical Mind Meld, I was absolutelty floored at his skill... his drum solo in that was mindboggling to me but, after watching a lot of Mangini's stuff and reading more about him I see him as a better fit.  In contrast to some of the other opinions expressed here regarding his video taped statements of how much he wants to be a part of DT, I took that as a VERY POSITIVE thing, it didn't come off as cheesy to me at all. I think it showed the passion he has for being part of the group.  To a finer point I think that level of passion and dedication is what DT needs for a long term drummer.  Someone that will give every fiber of his being to the music and creativity levels.  This is what has primarily swayed me to the Mangini camp.  Good music is all about passion and mindset coupled with technical ability.  While I absolutely LOVED wathiccng Marco play with the guys and still feel he would be a fantastic choice, I think Mike's passion is what gives him the kick above Marco in the right fit for the band.
Cool Story Bro.

Tell it again

Well, we still hate you for the screams.  We just love your drumming now.

(just kidding, of course--I think that even those of us who didn't initially like the screams, a lot of us are warming up to them more)
