A prediction I would like to be held to...
« on: April 15, 2011, 08:38:56 PM »
The fifth track on DT11 is going to be the most lauded song. It will be the song that is most praised as a favorite.

Breaking News:  Dream Theater announces the tracklisting for their new album.  The shortest song is just shy of eleven minutes.  There are four tracks.

What now?

Yep, and at least 65 of them will get locked.

That is one that you can easily be held to.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Ok....I think the first and last tracks will get the most praise, the fourth will be a wildcard, and everything else will be just ok.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. the first song will be about a car crash. the last will be about some dude from italy
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Me?  :omg:

Back IT, I like prediction, and most of all I like the fact that almost everyone tends to forget those that end up being false, remembering instead with disbelief the true ones, even though they were in fact just a small percentage. This is the weird mental process that creates prophets daily  ;D

Nope. I suppose a flying shark ate it while crossing the sea (to reach me, ye must go by sea  :yarr ). Anyway, if JP or some other DT guy were to come to Sardinia, I can only fanthom what kind of grottesque lyrics that crazy trip would generate  :rollin

Anyway, did we agree that there are eight tracks on the album or that piece of speculation is still ongoing
