In Retrospect - Album of the Year 2004 - Nomination Phase
« on: April 14, 2011, 07:46:31 PM »
PLEASE READ THE RULES!

Post your top 5 albums from 2004, order doesn't matter.  You may list fewer if you would like / don't know enough of the albums.  If you list runners up, list them UNDER your five nominations
List the band name first, uniformity helps me greatly in compiling lists
If you change your mind, just edit your post.  Don't repost, or quote your old post.  Just fix it.
OST's with a single artist and live albums are allowed.  Best of albums and compilations are not.
Posts that can't follow these simple rules will not be counted.

Nomination phase will last at least 3 days.

My albums (alphabetical order):

Ayreon - The Human Equation
Enslaved - Isa
Marillion - Marbles
Orphaned Land - Mabool - The Story Of The Three Sons Of Seven
Pain of Salvation - BE

Lots of live albums this year it seems.

I don't think a single one of these albums has been mentioned yet, so it's not like any of them are going to go forward, but:

John Butler Trio - Sunrise Over Sea
Salmonella Dub - One Drop East
Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine
Norah Jones - Feels like Home
Slipknot - Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses

The list of stuff I still need to hear from this year is colossal.

Bass Communion - Ghosts on Magnetic Tape
Oceansize - Music For Nurses EP (didn't see any rules against EPs)
Blackfield - Blackfield
Björk - Medúlla
65daysofstatic - The Fall of Math

Sad to see that not more have nominated Bass Communion, that album is probably my favorite album that Steven Wilson has made, and the Oceansize-EP is so damn fantastic.
Hopefully someone else will vote for them also. :)
