A Fortune in Lies Teaser
« on: April 12, 2011, 08:47:00 PM »
Ok so I am listening to Chaos In Motion... and i realized they play a snippet of AFIL at the in of Scarred... Am I the only one who thinks it's cool when they add this little snip into the end of songs? I know they sometimes use it at the end of ACOS, Outro Medleys, now Scarred, and i think I heard it at the end of TTT once or twice?

bumbumbum... DOO DOO!!!

Oh and sorry for another random ass thread. I am so effing bored at the moment that I am plucking small things out of Chaos In Motion
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Yeah they used to always do it for the end of ACOS.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. G. Sertillanges
