Well, shoot.  I can't really vote since I've only heard that PT album once and haven't heard POS.  *waits for next round*

The Perfect Element is my favorite progressive rock/metal album, so even though Lightbulb Sun is top 25 for me and a wonderful album, it doesn't even come anywhere close to the brilliance and perfection of the former. For me. :neverusethis:

I'm a big fan of both, so my vote could have gone either way really. Lightbulb Sun is a gorgeous and touching record, and The Perfect Element is an emotionally tense and haunting album. I went with TPE on a whim, but honestly it was a coin toss.

I vote for GY!BE because it's one of the best things to ever be made.

And if that's not an option, I don't know what I'm voting. LBS is my favourite PT album but TPE is also incredible.

I vote Lightbulb Sun, but I don't feel like either deserves it really.

They're both good enough albums (well, I don't like PoS, but whatever) but neither of them quite have an 'album of the year' quality about them to me.

Yeah I agree with pretty much everything.
LBS is a good album, but just a middle-tier PT album for me, still kinda bummed that albums like Kid A and Perdition City missed it.

Kid A and Lift Yr Skinny Fists were in my top 20 of the decade probably, so I'm a bit annoyed about them being left off.  :lol

I think 2010's gonna be the hardest year for this, if we cover it.
