I only listened to a coupla of her songs (I'll listen to more later, I promise!) and I'm quite liking her, her vocals are quite unusual and interesting.

Her vocals are very different, but I think they're awesome. They're operatic, yet not operatic at the same time.

Lol. I knew you'd semi-rage over that statement. Actually, I found that those crazy effects? on her voice on the first tune was pretty bad, but the next song (Swallow) was better. And the harpsichord intro to Opheliac was very good.

I must admit though, I lost interest after a few songs. I'll try give it another listen this weekend.

Ok so I listened to some more this afternoon and I'm totally converted. It's not a style I particularly like but something about the songs and her awesome voice has got me hooked

Just gave her another try, and while a lot of Opheliac rubs me the wrong way, she does have more than her fair share of gems on there.

And the line in Opheliac "She speaks in the third person so she can forget that she is me" is fucking ace. I forgot how much that line hooked me the first time I'd heard it.

I think I might have mentioned this before, but Enchant sounds different, but it's still really good. Enchant is like that beautiful girl lost in some dark, mystical forest on an autumn night. Opheliac is that same beautiful girl, except she's being dragged into a mental institution after slashing her wrists.

She also has several EP's that contain covers, remixes, and b-sides. It's all awesome stuff. Laced/Unlaced is all instrumental violin work, both with covers and some originals of her own. It's beautiful.

Haven't listened to her in years.

I really like the Laced/Unlaced album, specially the "Unlaced" part. Never got into her other albums although there were some songs that I liked a lot. I think they were Misery Leaves Company, Juliet and Swallow.
