The rowing thread

Anyone here row or have rowed before? Or anyone a fan of watching rowing events? Anyway I just started a few months ago for my high school team. The fundraising sucks (I have to raise over a thousand dollars) but the sport is fun as hell. I still have yet to actually go out into a boat on the water and do it but I have practiced with my teams on ergs and in tank rooms. Also my avatar is our team emblem.

So anyway, discuss.

Went to see the big regatta of the year for my old school yesterday, predictably we did horribly but it was nice seeing everyone again

During my senior year at UF I really wanted to join the rowing club but I just couldn't find the time to do so, I really regret it.

Hopefully I'll be able to get into it sometime in the next couple years.
