Movie dialog in music
« on: March 29, 2011, 03:59:23 PM »
So. There are some songs out there. Like Honor Thy Father (from probably one of my favorite films ever, Magnolia). Who use movie dialog during the song.
Do you guys know some other movie dialogs that have been used in songs?

I think Fullness of Time Part I: Rage and Leviathan Rising by Redemption both have movie dialog. What movies I have no idea.

I apologize that this is not related to the thread, but I think this is the first time I have seen Pendulum get some love on this board. They kick ass.  :metal

Devin Townsend's earlier music is chock full of samples from movies, Discovery channel, all sorts of stuff. The most sample-filled experience is Ocean Machine, by far.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?
LOOK AT THIS AWESOME SHIT AHHHHHH

Whether it's from a movie or anything else, I've always been a big fan of samples in music.

There is also a clip from The Royal Tenenbaums in Honor Thy Father.

"I want my family back."
"Well I'm sorry for you but it's too late."
I felt its length in quite a few places.
