Bass
Lie! In the wrong key, I was playing a four-string and didn't realise that the bottom string on a six-string was tuned differently, 'cause I was 14 and stupid. Which I didn't notice until it was pointed out to me. I really liked doing the little lick at the end of the verses. Peruvian Skies was the first in the right key, although I was atrocious at it and missed a lot of notes. I still do from time to time - it's like recapturing my youth except involuntary.
Piano
Exercises. Probably middle C. I used to play the piano a lot when I was about 7, I got proper lessons. I then got bored of all the exercises and forgot everything - including reading music, which I used to be really good at, so that's a fairly big regret. I sort of sporadically messed about with it since - I learnt the tetris theme and could play that pretty fast, and I could play Never Enough not long after OVM came out which I was always hugely proud of, as well as some songs from Sonic. Since I got a digital piano for myself, though, I've been approaching it a lot more seriously, and I think Apocalypse Please was the first song I learnt to play. AP was definitely the first song I properly learnt to play two handed, at any rate. I'd call it the first song I learnt as a pianist, as opposed to the first song I learnt as a fella who occasionally smushed his hands across a keyboard every now and then.
