Listening now, it's really good stuff. She's quite popular on last.fm as well, surprisingly enough. Maybe she's bigger in France?
Probably. I know she's done a lot of interviews in France, and she released a live DVD that was filmed there as well.
Also, her best album is probably Vegetal. It's her perfect balance of experimentation and accessibility. Her debut is good, too. The Big Machine is very different. TBM has more "American" influences, I guess, and most of it is sung in English. It's based off the time she spent in New York. It has more of a poppy feel, and there is a good deal of horn sections on it. It's pretty awesome.
She also composed the original soundtrack to March of the Penguins, titled La Marche de l'Empereur. Awesome stuff, especially All is White and Ice Girl. Check out her live album/DVD, too.
