I haven't followed any news or whatever about the progress of the album if there has been any, but I hope this is more in line with the first album as opposed to second.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Here's the track list for the limited edition with 2 bonus tracks.
1. First Day
2. Numbers
3. Towerblock
4. Signs
5. Lights Out
6. Heartstrings
7. Closer To The Sun
8. The Rage Against The Dying Of The Light Blues In 7/8
9. Nice Day For It
10. Hypoventilate
11. Last Day
12. Lantern
13. British Wintertime

Tracks 6-11 form a 32-minute suite, and just by titles alone, the ending must reflect or refer to the opening track. Tracks 12 and 13 are bonus tracks.

-Marc.

I'm curious about Hypoventilate, will it be as good as Hyperventilate? I wold guess it won't be as eclectic

I just hope it's not a blatant retread of what Hyperventilate is.

Sad to see Lantern and Heartstrings on here since I've already heard those songs on the Rockfield Files.

Won't stop me from being incredibly hyped for this record though!    :metal

I was firmly in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp, and now that I have a review's copy, I can safely state that, yes, this actually exists.

I'll probably have a review for Nick in about a week or so.

Just over six weeks until NEW FROST* (and Big Big Train)... I cannot wait for this album. Luckily, I'll have new Tiles and Haken to tide me over until the end of May.

sounds great, and it sets my expectations high, but I hope this was released because it's the most straightforward song.  if they're all like this, it's a step below Experiments in Mass Appeal.

Heartstrings is not my favorite on the album, but it's in my top 3.  The album is much closer to Experiments than Milliontown.  Review will be forthcoming for WPaPU next week probably.

I haven't heard the new single yet, but "Heartstrings' is a song they've recorded and released before, at least 3-4 years ago, so it's a pretty old song by this point. I'm surprised more fans of Frost* don't already know about it. Since EIMA, Frost* (or perhaps just Jem) wrote and even released some single songs over the years, though they were on some fairly rare or hard-to-find releases, not EPs or LPs that major record labels would release.

Less than a month now for this (and the new BBT), and I'm glad I already have my pre-order made from BurningShed, though I missed out on the signed postcard from the band. Oh well...

As track 6 on the album, Heartstrings will be part 1 of the 32-minute suite mentioned in the announcement update. It'll be interesting to hear how it's developed in a longer form.

Nice review and video with Jem along with the single.  Did anyone else notice the iron and ironing board next to Jem's keyboard set up.  I guess he does domestic duties while in the studio.  Loved the song.

Not even close.

Temper your expectations on this album folks.  If you only have a hundred or so albums, I'm sure this will sound great, but I'm finding this to be average at best.  The exception for me is Signs, and that's more because the lyrics really speak to me more than it being a brilliant composition.  Grade is a B if I'm being generous, B- after several listens.  For reference:  Milliontown A-, Experiments in Mass Appeal B-.

I'm finding it a slight notch down from EIMA, which I found a slight notch down from Milliontown. But I love both the first two, and the new one is still very strong (and has some great stuff).

Will hopefully get my review written soon.

On a scale of Affinity to Havoc how would you exactly rate how well the album stacks up to previous releases and expectations?

I thought Affinity was amazing - as strong as the Mountain and better than the earlier albums, and also fresh with lots of new ideas.

I don't listen to Circus Maximum so feel unable to compare. I understand a lot of fans have been quite disappointed, but I don't know how much.

The new Frost* I definitely find less exciting than Affinity in relative terms, and it's not as fresh. Most of the album sounds like Frost*, basically. But there are some new ideas, and a lot of the album is really great. Definitely not a disappointment for me - probably the least good of the three, but only by a smidgen.
