Pretty much everything about progressive-ness I learned from either DT or Rush (and Gavin Harrison).

In general, my fills are more diverse and are not about speed as much anymore.
I use the cymbals in different ways that I didn't before.
Obviously double pedals were inspired by MP for me.

Also, the dedication to the drums. I now practice everyday for usually 1 1/2 hours or so in a building with no insulation, and drafty-as-hell walls and windows. And it's winter in Canada. All because I'm dedicated to playing drums.
