That 70's show.
« on: February 16, 2011, 09:51:25 AM »
Anyone here a fan? I never watched it and noticed the other day that 8 seasons have been added to Netflix. I needed a new show to watch, so I figured what the hell. I got to episode 15 last night of season one, and I can't believe I never watched the show earlier. It's hysterical. I think Fez has to be the best character of any TV show, ever.

I used to watch it here and there, but frankly, mostly because of Laura Prepon.

I've been "taping" (saving on the digibox) episodes and watching them when we have time with my spouse. No idea what season is going on but yeah, it ranges from solid to hysterical. I used to watch weekly when the first seasons aired. I think all the characters (except maybe Donna and her parents) are pretty damn funny. In one of the latest episodes there was a bit where all the parents were sitting around the 'pot' table in the cellar. That was pretty hilarious and well executed.

My friend and I used to watch it a lot because it would always be on TV right when we got out of school. Haven't watched it much lately though, but I thought it was a great show.

The first few seasons were quite good.  Part of my love for that show may have been from living in Wisconsin.

Been a huge fan since it's started and until was over, proud owner of the DVD box sets!
Fez season 1 to 4 was awesome, 5 he started being redundant and the actor performance declined slowly, 6 to 8 was just plain unbearably annoying.
Eric and Kelso have been hilarious all the way through.
Oh and Red Foreman is amazing.

Used to watch it back when it aired up to probably a season or two before Topher Grace left. By then I'd catch a rerun here and there before I lost interest. Fez was the worst character.

I don't watch this show regularly, but my wife does periodically, so I watch it sometimes. It is a neat premise and can be pretty funny, but not something I'd go out of my way to watch.

Eric and Hyde are great, Fez was great initially but got old, and Kelso was always annoyingly unfunny. There was never anything special about the girls. And Red and Kitty have to rank pretty high in the short list of awesome tv parents.

Great show. Like any one, it takes time to get into the motion and beats of the humor. I dig it though.

The first 6 season are awesome.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

I think we had a poll a long time ago about this, but I'm firmly in the Laura Prepon camp. Mila is nice too, but she doesn't have the next-door girl thing that Laura has.

I thought the first couple of seasons were pretty good, but it jumped the shark quickly.  Red and Kitty were definitely the stand-outs.  The Pinciottis were pretty funny as well.

I can't explain why, but I really did love this show. If anything, because of the dad.

I know his name, lol, but in case no one else did I guess figured "dad " was easier.

Great, great show in its prime.  Red Forman is one of the greatest TV characters ever, and Hyde was great, too.  The rest were up there as well, although I think Fez was one of the weakest links.  He had some funny lines, but he was basically a one-trick pony, and that trick got old really fast.

It's okay. I think I saw most of the show over the past 4 years since Comedy Central keeps starting over once they run through all the seasons.

Don't think it's incredibly good or anything, but I enjoy watching it more than most Comedy Central programmes.

Well, I just finished the last episode. I hate to say it, but that last season totally sucked. Randy was the most annoying character ever brought on that show, and Leo's jokes got so repetitive and stale I couldn't stand it anymore. I understand they were off doing different things but the lack of Eric and Michael really ruined the last season. I was really disappointed with the final episode as well. Well, whatever, seasons 1-7 were excellent and I'm glad I finally got around to watching it.

I liked the finale. I especially liked it because Eric and Donna got back together. That's what did it for me. As for Kelso coming back, I'm glad they actually wrote him as Kelso, not just a Kutcher cameo. The tower scene was great. Kind of weird that Fez is with Jackie, but whatever.
