So I went to go pick up some food with my mom the other night.  I had the new EP playing in the car and I was laughing at the awkward silences in my head when Kingdom was playing and Devin was saying things like "I SUCK DICKS FOR CRACK MONEY".

I think my favourite line in the EP is at the end of Truth - "EAT A BAG OF BALLS!" :metalol:

In other news, Devin is playing the Friday at Bloodstock again this year.

Story of Decon:
Quote from: The Dev wrote:
keeping it short:

The character goes to hell to confront himself, his fears and his demons. He meets the 'devil' and realizes that it is himself, and he moves on to believing his is now capable of understanding the universe and everything having conquered the fear of himself..

This arrogance leads him to the furthest corners of his mind until he is presented with a vision of the sum of everything. It ends up being a cheeseburger, presented by a choir of angels. The point is that EVERYTHING EXISTS IN EVERYTHING, and the whole time his arrogance has led him to absurd personal dramas based on the arrogance that the universe is actually just an equation to be solved, when really... there is nothing but reality. For example, deconstruction a fractal (mandelbrot) is endless, but the equation is elegant and subtle.

The cheeseburger (or whatever he was looking at, it doesn't matter really) needed to be absurd to make the point. I guess the point may be that feeling the need to conquer everything is simply a reflection of powerlessness overall.

He finds the true nature of what he was looking at so closely when he stands back and observes it from a distance, and from a distance it becomes something uninteresting. So Ghost starts.

Also he's posted the tracklisting for Deconstruction:

Praise The Lowered
Stand
Juular
Planet Of The Apes
Sumeria
The Mighty Masturbator
Deconstruction
Pandemic
Poltergeist

Apparently The Mighty Masturbator is 17 minutes long.  :metal

Does anyone now what the keyboards do in 'Hyperdrive!'? I know what the keyboards do during the chorus but not before that.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

It was the original title for Ziltoid.

Not only that, but some of the original working titles for Addicted were awesome. Things like "Dinosaurs!" and "Mortal Kombat!". Think about how incredible Supercrush! would be if it was about dinosaurs.

No, I love the name. It's just not what I expected the greatest song in the world to be called.

I also see that becoming my custom title in the future.

I don't react :letam: "OH HOLY FUCK!" :metal to things often. That is one of them. Deconstruction may over take Addicted and cinnamon buns as my favourite thing ever.

Also loving that the end of Processional is making another appearance. :hat

I love how the arpeggios in the beginning are the same ones from the I'M ALRIGHT TO FLYYYY bit from Numbered

Edit: Oh my god, Planet of the Apes, and Tommy's part are so awesome

Moar edit:

Someone tweeted "the only thing missing from this record is Greg Puciato" to which Greg replied "Devin...next time perhaps? I'm in if you're in" to which Dev replied "you serious?!? Fuckin rights! I'll write tonight..."

So I'm thinkin maybe he'll write a part for Greg and we might get sum Greg on dat Decon.

I don't think so. It would be a little ridiculous to have like 6 death metal vocalists on one track.

And not good-ridiculous in the usual Devy fashion.
