What is your favorite DT cover series album?

What is your favorite DT cover series album? Mine is Dark Side of the Moon. Even though it isn't my favorite album of the four they covered, I think they did a stellar job and it's cool to hear them play so chill and subdued. And it sounds so very similar and true to the original!

If I had to choose, I'd probably go with Master of Puppets.  But Dark Side of the Moon is a very close second.

Dark Side.

On the topic of covers, i was thinking earlier about this (forgive me if this has already been talked about). Do you think DT will continue to make the cover series? Did the band as a whole pick which album to cover, or was it more Mike's baby?

Good question. Rudess and Petrucci seem to enjoy covers enough that they'll at least cover songs in concert, but Ytse Jam handled all the official bootleg stuff, and that was Mike's thing, so probably not.

Dark Side. Though I personally believe James did a surprisingly good job with Maiden considering the vocalists he was covering were not very similar to him, it was on Dark Side that he was absolutely stunning. It helps that he was at the greatest live vocal abilities of his life. Really they are all amazing instrumentally, but this show takes the cake thanks to James.
