Shaming and the Giraffe albums are being repressed/reissued. They had gone out of print the last few years.

The "bring you never-before heard/viewed content" could be the Documentaries that were talked about a number of years ago but never were made/made-available.

At this point I wonder how much is left. Don't know how I feel about it being released piecemeal, but I may indulge again if it's something that interests me.

We have begun meticulously re-mastering Kevin’s catalog for release on streaming services.  We are hoping to have the first releases roll out in July.

High resolution digital downloads will also be coming.

Many previously unreleased tracks will see a streaming/digital download only release.

After many years of research and brainstorming, our team has put together a plan for what we see as the final wave of hard media releases from the vaults of Kevin Gilbert.

We are constructing a special edition, Giraffe 3-disc package, that will include The Power of Suggestion & The View from Here, and a special third disc (details to be revealed soon).

The Shaming of The True is coming to VINYL! After years of waiting we are moving forward with a 2 disc set on 180 gram vinyl that will achieve audiophile sound quality. We will have a cost effective and beautiful presentation for this luscious format. Our goal is to have this available for Christmas…

There are a few more releases in their final stages that are sure to please many.

Thank you to the fans, friends, musicians, and family for keeping the music & spirit of Kevin Gilbert alive. We have listened to each and every suggestion made via email and social media. Suggestions for crowd funding has always come up but no option worked for our model. Recently, we have discussed a funding model that will give every person an equal chance to obtain autographs of Kevin, unique memorabilia, out of print music catalog gems, and more. News At Last!
Work on the long-awaited vinyl edition of The Shaming of The True was officially started in June 2020. Since then, the project has been stalled by repeated manufacturing quality setbacks. This is such an important pressing, it deserves the right kind of care.
Those difficulties on the manufacturing side have increased costs by thousands. In the meantime, crowdfunding will resume to keep the project moving.
The good news is we have already begun working with a new manufacturer. The Shaming of the True vinyl LP set should be completed, ready to purchase, within the next six months.
In addition to the vinyl, we will be offering the final, definitive edition of The Shaming of The True—a multi-disc CD set. Following the format of the Thud — 20th Anniversary 3CD set, this Shaming of The True multi-disc package will present Kevin’s original handwritten notes, track listings, alternate lyrics and related writings, and on the CDs, fans will find a wealth of audio gems including unreleased tracks, alternate tracks, alternate mixes, instrumentals, and studio rough drafts. You will experience The Shaming of the True in a whole new way.
Truly, this is an exciting time to be a KG fan.

Here is another song on my series of "one man band" videos. I haven't done one in a little while and with the release of 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁's "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲" on vinyl I thought now is a great time to put out this video. I do these videos for fun, for your entertainment ( hopefully ), and for my own education. I rely only on my ears to learn the parts. I'm not trying to recreate songs note for note but I am trying to get as close as I can and see what I am capable of. It is the way I learned music as a kid and, along with formal education, I feel it is a great way to train you ears and your musical soul.
The reason for the Doumbek on the thumbnail picture is that it is the instrument I purchased to use on the Kevin Gilbert THUD tour back in 1995. We went out as a duo opening up for Jonatha Brooke along with going to a ton of radio stations for the promotion of "THUD." I needed some kind of hand drum and I found this beautiful instrument at The Folk Music Center in Claremont California. A fantastic shop of all kinds of instruments. The thing that drew me to this particular drum was that it has a tambourine mounted just under the head and makes a killer sound! I didn't give the drum much love over the past years so one day I pulled it back out, cleaned it, figured out a way to mount a tambourine in it again because the first one broke, put on a new head, and it sounds like it did back when I bought it! That got me thinking of taking a stab at recreating this song because it is the same drum I used on "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲" record.

NRG Live At Keystone
Recorded in 1982 using a single stereo room microphone, this NRG performance is the first release in the KMG Archive Series. This recording was made a couple of years prior to the release of NRG’s No Reasons Given, Volume 1 LP. The set list for this performance includes four original NRG tracks that did not appear on that album. The inner panel of the digipak includes a summary provided by NRG’s Jason Hubbard.
Running Time: 46 minutes
Beer Jam 2
Kevin Gilbert and Mickey Sorey set aside studio time in 1986 to drink some beer and play some music. They performed NRG songs that were not included in the No Reasons Given, Vol. 1 LP. The studio jam session begins with Kevin and Mickey running through a few of their favorite songs by Genesis and UK to get warmed-up. The conversation between songs by Kevin and Mickey is not to be missed. Liner notes by NRG’s Mickey Sorey.
Running Time: 53 minutes
About the KMG Archive Series — This multi-CD series will consist of audio recordings of all eras from deep within the Kevin Gilbert audio vault. Demos, unreleased tracks, alternate mixes, live soundboard recordings, studio rehearsal sessions, and more. The highest quality audio source was used for each title. Some recordings will be presented in raw form and exist for the true completist. Sound samples will be provided for each CD.
With a price tag of $20, each will be presented as a CD digipak with consistent art design across the series. As with this first roll out, two titles will be released simultaneously in order to assist with increased shipping rates.
