He's busted it out sparingly in WWE, very rarely in a big match with a more limber opponent. It's a shame too, the old school Liontamer is awesome.

Fuck yeah!! I was marking so hard when he put Kofi in it!!

And Zook, no. The Liontamer and Walls of Jericho are different variations on the same hold.

The Walls of Jericho is a, sometimes, elevated Boston crab lock, more regularly a normal Boston Crab.

The Liontamer is an elevated Boston Crab with a knee press to the back or head of the opponent.

Some thoughts from Raw:

Triple H/'Taker in HiaC, right, because we've never seen that...

Good promo by Cena, very good promo.

A damn shame that Wade Barrett got injured, if it was indeed legitimate, I really enjoy watching him.

Yay! Jericho/Punk!

Nice work by that big dunce Big Show, overthrowing Ziggler too much, resulting in a legit injury to Wade Barrett:

Also, Undertaker/Helmsley again...YAWN.

Thank goodness CM Punk is still awesome.  He is the only real reason I still watch sometimes.

HIAC takes away from Triple H v Taker IMO. HIAC should also NEVER be at Mania, even Bossmann v Taker was wrong.

The promo was good, however, It was spoiled for one reason. WHAT!? If there is one thing that I really dislike Stone Cold for is that. Every decent promo is destroyed by imbecilic fans shouting WHAT!?...let them speak and tell the story!

Wrestlers can work around it, though. For example, Jericho never lets the fans get into "WHAT?!-mode", others embrace it as Angle did back in the day.

But I did find it to be a lack of respect to WHAT?! Undertaker.

He should have busted this line out again:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyKPySrEdK0

And yeah, the fact that that crowd was "WHAT"ing him last night just shows how dumb the average wrestling fan is.  Sad, but true.

'Taker shouldn't have cut such a long winded and boring promo if he didn't want to get "WHAT"'d :lol

anybody else see Daniel Bryan vs CM Punk tonight? These guys should be made to close every PPV with a 60 minute Iron Man match :hat

I can't wait for this years Wrestlemania.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

Nice to see that Eddie and Orlando Colón (Primo & Epico) didn't lose the titles! PR represent! :lol

Two Liontamers in 2 weeks?!?! Is this heaven???

I'm really liking Cody's character and his "Embarrassing Big Show WM moment" thing he has going on.

Rock, as always, has the crowd on the palm of his hand when doing a promo. I could watch Jericho and Rock on the mic all night! #CenasMissingBalls

Yeah, I noticed that early in the promo and was wondering if it was a new tattoo, or notes.  Anyone else notice how Dwayne referred to himself as "I" way more than ever?  He was out of character most of the promo, and seemed a little flustered after Cena came out - which if it wasn't a shoot, sure as hell seemed like it.

Just like HBK/Hitman back in the 90s, I wonder if these two genuinely dislike each other, or if it's all hype to promote the show.

Hey guys and gals,

I don't mean to derail this thread from the discussions of the current state of WWE. I haven't watched wrestling for some time (since 94). But, I thought some of you would enjoy this nonetheless:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4LajSyRojE

The Ultimate Warrior is still a psychopath and inspiring others to be mini psychopaths. No, but really, it's a funny, and to some, inspiring video. He's launching his own reality show where he takes bands with drug/alcohol abuse problems and tries to instill a little bit of reality to their destructive ways. Anyway, if you're offended by profanity, this probably isn't for you. I find it entertaining and I think you guys will enjoy.

It's all part of the work.  The WWE is trying like hell to get fans to cheer for Cena again, as they are terrified that he will get booed like mad at Wrestlemania, but they are oblivious to the fact that fans simply do not like John Cena anymore.  They can have him bury Eve, call The Rock out for having promo notes written on his wrist or do almost anything, but nothing will get the Miami crowd to cheer for him over The Rock.  Honestly, at this point, it wouldn't surprise me if the WWE doesn't pipe in cheers for Cena and boos for The Rock come Wrestlemania so it appears to TV viewers that the crowd is split over whom to root for.

Kinda like Rock/Hogan in Toronto 10 years ago... they should just run with it, let Rock be the face and make Cena a heel.

Wouldn't surprise me if some of the cheer's for Cena last night were piped in.  The pop for The Rock was unreal for that entire segment, and it's hard to imagine there were really that many people cheering for Cena when he came out at the end of the show (it sounded like a 50/50 split).

I thought Cena was lame from the get go.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. They don't really have to make Cena a heel, though, there's no way he WON'T be boo in Rock's hometown of Miami. Plus, he's already boo mercilessly because as Kev said, people do not like him! The older fans and those who grew up during the Attitude Era (like me) will continuously boo him, to me he represents all that's wrong with the WWE today.

I would like for WWE to make him a heel just because it would be refreshing.

He was a better heel. Remember when he ripped on John Ritter like a week after he died?  It's time for him to go heel. Even Rocky knew when his time as a face was worn out.

I thought that promo was pretty weak to be honest. I do agree that Cena should go heel again, like when he was the goofy jersey wearing rapper gimmick, only minus the rapper.

Agreed, that promo itself was nothing memorable - proof is that I don't remember anything else from it. Just pointing out that he got some major heat from it, and he could deliver promos the fans would hate him for. That was back before he was given any major push on the mic.

Bottom line is his face persona is old and tired as the 'goon said. When "hustle" is one of your key words, that's lame.

I think Cena probably knows it's time, but Vince still makes too much money off of him with merchandise to all of the kids, and there ain't no way they are turning him before this whole thing with The Rock plays out.  The funny thing is how badly Vince miscalculated this.  He probably thought there was no way that Cena would get booed this badly while still a face, but here we are.  He even got booed like mad last year in Boston (basically his home town).
