I love Booker T as a commentator way more than as a wrestler...

Sorry Kev but...

Rodriguez:

"Aqui esta su Nuevo campeon y el orgullo de Mexico: Albertoooooo del RIOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

I'm wondering where they're going with this Kevin Nash thing, though I'm not surprise Alberto cashed in the MitB.

It's sad how much the WWE has devalued their own titles.  Del Rio being the WWE champ reminds me of when Jack Swagger was the world champ last spring: a guy no one cares about is just given the title, and odds are that in a year or so, the title reign will all but be forgotten.  It happened with Swagger, and will probably happen with Del Rio, too.

I actually kind of agree with you, I mean I do love me some Del Rio, but I can see how some people may think he is to "new" to get the tittle.
I think he could have gotten much more heat if the match was a normal match and not a cash in.

That's the catch-22 of the Money in the Bank briefcase. Sure, you're all but guaranteed the title, but you're also all but guaranteed to be seen as someone who lucked into the title by the fans, and the ironic thing is that it was originally meant to help elevate new stars. Especially with two briefcases these days. At least Danielson announced he'll cash it in ahead of time, and thus will hopefully gain some legitimacy in the eyes of the fans should he win.

MITB is a good idea, but it has gotten stupid since everyone is always successful when cashing it in.  The excitement from the surprise is usually very short-lived, and we are then sometimes left with chumps like Swagger, Del Rio, etc. being a world champ.

Don't be hatin'

The MITB feels worthless now because theres 2 winners. And because after RVD's cash in every other cash in has been the same way, it's not new anymore.

Nash seem a little rusty, though. Besides the "short order cook from the Wafflehouse" comment, Punk owned him.

Also, if Nash is gonna appear more now, I really hope he uses the nWo Wolfpack song as his entrance music. None of that Diesel shit!

Nash was never very good on the mic.  Scott Hall was always the better of the two on the mic (which I mention since those two were together so much in their primes).

Compared to a lot of the people we've seen on the mic in the last few years, Nash seemed amazing at it. Pretty much everyone from this generation except CM Punk has no talent with the mic whatsoever. For ages I couldn't tell apart Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Alex Riley, Miz, etc because they had no defining characters as a result of them being equally terrible on the mic, saying the same crap over and over. And as entertaining as John Morrison is to watch, he's probably the worst on the mic they have.

It's good to actually have what seems like a decent feud happen on the mic. For ages it's been the heel having a decent argument or grievance until they get kicked in the head by the person they directed it at because the face can't argue back properly. Even Shawn Michaels did it when he was on a few weeks back when CM Punk came out with a good few points about the newer generations not being allowed to grow and older generations just using guest spots as a chance to plug something. HBK responded with some sweet chin music to some guy from Nexus who hadn't even said anything. I know Punk almost did something similar on Raw last night, but it felt like out of actual rage rather than something in place of a response in an argument.

Am I alone in thinking that Wade Barrett/Daniel Bryan was a great match at SummerSlam?

No, I've seen plenty of praise for that match in Summerslam recaps/reviews

I think we could be headed towards a HHH/Stephanie power struggle storyline. She could have texted Nash behind H's back, and could argue that she's been groomed for the business and she, not her husband, should have been put in charge.

I think this is where they're going too. There's a reason Stephanie started appearing again on TV.

Not at all, that match was probably my favourite from this year. The number of times where it looked like they were taking shots was amazing, plus some seriously cool technical stuff and interesting moves. Daniel Bryan's probably the wrestler I'm most looking forward to see develop over the next year or so. Him and Barrett seem to work great against each other too.

Matt Hardy's description of the crash:

Quote
“When the side windows glass smashed into my face, arms, & neck, some of the blood that did felt almost angelic. I went from being afraid to die to feeling like I was almost being reborn with some sort of an ABSOLUTE PURE LIFE-FORCE. It was the most amazing thing I’ve every experience, I felt like I’d just received the blood of an angel flowing inside me-I know this sounds crazy! Due to these, I only have urges to help people. And miraculously, all my vices are gone.

Amen Friends,
MATTHEW”

Very good episode of Raw last night. ADR and John Morrison put on a solid match, we got new tag champions that people will actually care about, and Cena and Punk continued to show that they just click in the ring. More good promo work as the storyline for the main event scene played out too.

I saw that Nash distraction coming from a mile away, that's so overused in wrestling.

Also, I liked the Awesome Truth.

yeah, as soon as Triple H got the message that Nash was in a hospital, you knew shenanigans were coming during the main event. Now it's just a question of who Johnny Ace is working for
