Were those programmed drums?

Either way that was really good! Was it just you or did other people play some instruments? You are a very talented singer!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the kind words :)

Yes, the drums were programmed. They sound like most triggered/sampled drums these days so I wasn't too tiffed about it (although the drummer was lol). Our producer will get an even more authentic tone out of them for our next sessions. I just did all the vocals. Everyone else did their parts. I do play some guitar on a few other tracks. I will post some more soon.

Thanks again everyone!

Dayumn. Everything was topnotch, vocals were the best part. Only complaint i would have is that the drums sound over produced but that's a matter of taste though.

Right. For fake drums they came out decent, and with modern stuff, they do almost hark back to that 80's overdone sound :lol

The kid who produced it is in the midst of improving all his equipment and recording setup, so next time we go back, the results will be even superior.

Thanks very much for the vocals comment. I've really honed in on trying to find my natural unique tone and stick with it while throwing in those occasional high notes for flair. I can't do any harsh stuff though haha. I'm hardly a tough guy.
I'm also proud to say there is no pitch correction on my voice here. I'm very keen about getting the right notes naturally.
I do believe the producer pitched one or two on another, and then missed some really obvious stuff,
but it all seemed to work alright, all things considered...

I'll be sure to post more stuff soon! ;)

Indeed. Opening for big acts isn't really all that difficult. Just sell some tickets for the promoter and you're good.

Sounds great man.  You're vocals really are a perfect fit.  Great timbre and really fits the musical passages.  "Mouth of Madness" sounds to me like Tom Araya w/ a developed higher vocal range.

Interesting! I love unique compliments like this ;D
Thanks for the support everyone.

We just announced a show with All Shall Perish as a way to balance out the heavier side of our potential.
Should be an interesting one-two punch after Apocalyptica :P

Thank you sir! Really, really appreciate the kind words and download support! All I ask is spread the word! Feel free to burn copies for friends, put it on people's ipod's etc. whatever gets the word out! Much love gang.
Got our first live write up! I feel so pro now haha:

(In regard to our slot opening for Death Angel)
Quote
The openers were all stellar. First to perform was DORIAN GRAY, a cadre of talented youngsters playing melodic progressive groove metal. Frontman Myke Havoc has described their sound as a combination of FEAR FACTORY and KAMELOT, which seemed pretty accurate, especially in a live setting. They recently finished work on their debut EP and are selling it relentlessly at their gigs; if they keep it up, they'll go pretty far.

Tuesday, we opened for Apocalyptica at The Webster Theater in Hartford, CT. It was absolutely insane! It really was the perfect gig. We played well, the crowd loved it, we sold tons of CDs and got lots of good exposure. The place was packed. Literally, must've been 2,000 people. Honestly, the best gig of my life thus far. Here are a few highlights:

Again, for those who haven't checked out the EP yet, give it a listen here:
