He asked for one song! I could have just posted links to all of Room Noises.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

I don't know how I missed your latest update, but Eisley is gold.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. I really don't get the love for Eisley. Solid and inoffensive band, but nothing more imo.

They're the most beautiful thing ever.

No way.

Name one thing more beautiful.

Damien Rice, Thomas Dybdahl, Tallest Man On Earth, Susanne Sundfor, Debussy, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens...

I agree with all of this. I love Eisley though. But definitely not top ten material

Tallest Man on Earth, Radiohead, and Thomas Dybdahl better than Eisley?

I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

Yes. Room Noises, The Valley, then Combinations. In order of when you should listen to them, not chronological.

Yeah, this. They had better be as amazing as that song led me to believe.

That's usually a horrible idea, I've found, but I guess it works for Eisley.  :lol

Why is that a horrible idea.

I must first find something I like about a band, then I can commit myself to listening through their discography. Because I know that if those first albums suck, there's something better ahead.

I don't know, it strikes me as an odd/silly way to get into a band.  I mean, if it works for you, go for it.

I know music is subjective blah blah blah, but I genuinely can't understand how this is an untrue statement in any way whatsoever.

Well, TD and TMOE are both pretty much just dime a dozen singer-songwriters, nothing terribly interesting. And I will never for the life of me understand why Radiohead gets the praise that they do. I mean, they have some good songs but overall they're really not that interesting.

Hard to compare the artists listed, because I love both Radiohead and The Tallest Man on Earth, and I'm just getting into Thomas Dybdahl.
But Eisley's music really isn't like any of those, it's like comparing Cannibal Corpse to Justin Bieber.  :lol

Wow, this Eisley album is freaking gold!  Marvelous Things is my favourite by far.  It sounds like a non-remedial Taylor Swift.

I listened to the album. Pretty much the best pop/rock I've ever heard. I have to listen again to form a judgement on how to rate it. Very pleasant stuff, but not really mindblowing per se.
