Yea, they really need to do a tour... pretty much every thrash fan ever will go.  The profits would probably be immense.  I can understand the scheduling problems though.

If it were to be a tour, what would the set times be like? They said each of the four bands would play a complete set, which is why they're having a festival for it on a Saturday for the California show. If it were a tour, it would have to start early in the afternoon which would be a huge inconvenience for the fans and the industry. The other option is to do two weekend shows per week, but obviously that would be very limiting.

It wouldn't be a burden on anyone unless they charge up the ass for tickets. Full sets would be nice, and I'm sure many people would see it.

Looks like Lars is leaving the door open for more gigs, "if there is strong demand for it."  Is he fucking kidding?  This would be the type of tour that would attract just about every metalhead from the 80's.  Of course there would be strong demand.  Let's hope that the four bands could get together enough to give this show a decent run--at least 10-15 dates throughout the country.

Well starting a show at 3:00 PM on a Tuesday wouldn't be the most convenient time for most people. It would interfere with school and work and other things that concerts wouldn't usually interfere with. So less people would mean more problems for the promoters too.

Birch, like I said, do 10 shows in all the main markets. LA, Chicago, NY, Philly, somewhere in Texas. You get the idea. Do 2 shows a weekend. If you do 10 shows, that is less than a month and a half out of each bands' normal touring schedule.
