Beck and Palin are both awful, but I'm leaning more towards saying that Palin is worse because she actually has a shot a running for president. The thought of Sarah Palin in the White House is just plain horrifying.

No she doesn't. She's polarized the Republican Party itself. If it came down to it, out of 5 or so candidates, she would not be nominated

I'm divided on this. Part of me thinks that there's no way the American people are dumb enough to elect her. At the same time there are a lot of people who back her. Ultimately I think you're right, she wont get elected, but at the same time that seems just horrible enough to happen.

Too many people are quick to underestimate the amount of stupid people in this country.  There are a lot of them.

Exactly.  Don't forget--Obama got elected.

Proving that not enough of them went out and exercised their right to vote.  Thank you for illustrating my point for me.  :lol

Awesome.  A well placed "no u" is always a winner.  And no place was it better demonstrated than in your "after the lock" post here:

Even more importantly...what could possibly have been in that video I posted?

I wondered that as well.  I saw it at the time, but have forgotten what it was.

I think Beck is worse.  Palin is just dumb, but Beck is crazy as hell.

I think the two differ because I think SP actually thinks she is right about everything she says. GB on the other hand will gladly say stuff he knows is false as long it means being able to sell a few more copies of his latest book.

Okay, so EPICVIEW, you've pointed out that I made a vague remark about nothing specific that Palin said and called her a liar.  You insist that it's no different than me having the gall to suggest that you back up your whole "the entire SOTU address is a lie" remark in the other thread, so that someone might be inclined to take you a little more seriously.  So for your pleasure, I will offer you one item out of countless instances.  Do not annoy me any further or load up my PM inbox with crap about Odinga.  I don't give a shit.

Sarah Palin's twitter update on June 1, 2010 (made while the Deepwater Horizon well was spewing bazillions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico) says:

Quote
Extreme Greenies:see now why we push"drill, baby, drill"of known reserves&promising finds in safe onshore places like ANWR? Now do you get it?

Clearly a shot at trying to convince everyone that her well known mantra, "drill, baby, drill" was CLEARLY supposed to be about safe ONSHORE drilling.

Except that it wasn't.

At an October 20, 2008 (almost two years earlier), campaign event in Loveland, Colorado, she said this to say:

Quote
...whether Joe Biden approves it or not, we will develop clean coal technology and we will safely drill for the billions of barrels of oil that are warehoused underground, including our offshore sources. We will drill here and drill now. Drill, baby, drill. Drill, baby, drill.

She referenced offshore drilling at other rallies that same week.

You asked for this, there you have it.  I specifically posted it here, so that everybody else could see that I made an attempt to back up my statement.  Now drop it.

Thats what bothers me. There are people out there who are dumb as hell and that don't understand that the stack of paper in their printer is smarter than Palin. That's why I still get a little worried that she may be elected.

The impression Palin and Beck (especially Palin) has made on people over here is incredible. I can't count the number of times where the first thing someone mentions upon hearing that I'm American is how shocked they are by Palin's bullshit. It's actually pretty embarrassing.

O'Reilly is an asshole, but he isn't stupid like Palin, or batshit crazy like Beck.

I don't like O'Reilly, but I still give the guy credit when it's due. Palin and Beck do not deserve any place near politics.
