I couldn't even read the whole article, it's sickening! How could someone induce the labor of a 6-8 month 'baby' then kill it by cutting through the back with scissors and cutting the spinal cord? Thoughts? This is SO sad, I say he needs to DEFINITELY be charged and convicted of murder.

It's inhumane sure, but I think humanitiy's capacity for inhumanity (what a f**king stupid construction) has been well demonstrated at this point in history. There were people willing to pay, and they found someone with a low enough level of compassion to view it as a late term abortion and treat the deaths as clinical. He will be punished. The would will continue to spew gits like him out on occasion, and assuming they are caught, we will punish them too.

but just reading about this shit scares me, and really pulls me back into the reality that there are people out there who are like this. and for the mothers to resort to this is beyond poor judgment. there are hundreds of thousands of people who would give anything to have a child, imagine if they were to read this..how would they feel?

Also, it's understandable to wonder how ANY woman could do something like this when there are so many that WANT to have babies - however, the article mentioned that he performed on minorities, immigrants, and poor women - likely all people who feared the destitution that would potentially come with another mouth to have to feed. When you're at the very bottom of the barrel (or the very bottom of the social order), I'm sure it's amazing and sometimes unnerving what you'll do to stay alive. I do not speak from experience and hope never to have to.

There's no reason whatsoever to pronounce him a sociopath. I and others have pointed out scenarios where he could have viewed his actions as being valid for the good of others.

It's tantamount to an abortion. Sure, holding and looking at it adds another layer of emotion to the situation that most have a harder time dealing with, but it's still just a human in an early stage of development. Not sure why people don't get this; an "out of sight, out of mind" thing, I assume.
