Anyway, I listened to it once and was unimpressed. But maybe it needs to grow.

AOTY so far!
But yeah, it's too early to tell. When I heard the new Anathema for the first time, I thought it was pretty dull. But it started to grow. So every album deserves at least 10 spins before passing judgement.

Hmmm, I would have to give it a few more listens, to be honest.

It's definitely a great album anyway.

I've only heard it once, but so far I think it might challenge it.
Personally I feel like The Brothel was maybe a bit more "instant", while it does have layers and things to find out after more listens, some of the songs had the strong "click right away"-touch. I feel like The Silicone Veil is perhaps a bit more of a grower, it felt more layered then The Brothel, and I feel like it has more potential.

It's definitely a grower.

I've listened to it a few times and it's got better with each listen.

Apparently she's coming to Sweden later this year, sadly it's in Stockholm which is like ~292 miles away, so not really an option. I do hope that she will eventually come here though, Gothenburg is much closer to Norway then Stockholm is, and I don't see why she wouldn't come here eventually. :P

Finally getting around to this whole new album thing.  Gotten absolutely no new music in the past months except for this, but I've finally found time.

Fuck, first track is awesome.

AOTY so far for me.

I'm not exactly sure since I haven't mapped it out yet, but I might agree with this. It's either this or Gazpacho's March of Ghosts, but if I had to pick one right now I'd say Susanne Sundfor.  :hefdaddy

Meditations in an Emergency might be my favorite. It's just such a beautiful piece of music, and it reminds me a bit of "Cornerstone" by Petter Carlsen, which is an instrumental but possibly my favorite song from his latest album.
Other songs that stand out a lot; White Foxes, the title-track and Diamonds.  :hat

I've heard the name, thought it was the guest singer on Ayreon's Human Equation. Confused her with Heather Findlay, who has an incredible voice.

Oh Heather Findlay does have a beautiful voice! I haven't heard her in anything other than Ayreon though.

My name is Jesus Christ, and I endorse this message.

This album is very unique, and seems like one that will grow on me quite a bit.

I'm deeply ashamed to admit that I am slightly attracted to Palin. Now punish me  :sadpanda:
