After not really having listened to her yet, I saw her live yesterday. Holy crap, she completely blew me away. What an amazing music and what a great voice. I was smiling so hard because the music was absolutely fantastic. I know where my last small bit of money is going to.

Her voice is so powerful! We were standing dead center on the front row and you could actually her her voice unamplified at times because it was so powerful. And it sounded glorious. There were also some instrumental bits that were incredibly cool and almost post-rock at times. I'll post a setlist if I can find one, haven't really searched for it yet (only just got home).

Dybdahl (for who she was opening) was also absolutely fantastic, one of the most fun shows I have ever been to. I can recommend anyone to go there if he/she has the opportunity, it was great. He had a lot of cool audience interaction and joking around and they actually played some songs that were requested from the audience on the spot. Someone from the audience yelled that they should play 'Party like its 1929', which they played a ridiciously extended version of that was really cool. He mixed up the songs a lot which was really cool to hear.

I seriously think the title track of The Brothel is entering the pantheon of about 20 or so songs that I consider objectively 'perfect.'

It's Susanne in some sort of office setting, playing songs. Most of these are maybe either unreleased or maybe even songs from her upcoming album. I've not heard them before, at least, and the song "Memorial" she plays is one of the most beautiful things I've heard from her. Hope it ends up on the new one! And, needless to say, Turkish Delight is played.

Oh, one more thing, she looks really fucking hot here. And, goddamn, if that isn't one of the best voices ever.

The Brothel is now available in Europe via itunes/amazon/whatever and it's going to be out in the US in a few days so you all have no excuse to not get it and love it.

Hmm, it's now on amazon to buy on CD, but I'm running out of space for CDs so I'd prefer to get it on download, and it doesn't appear to be available in that way from amazon, play or iTunes yet. I'll keep a lookout though!

Was just reading some TS Eliot poetry, and saw the line 'restless nights in one-night cheap hotels,' and i wuz liek OMG that's a line from the Brothel. Sure, enough according to https://kierontyler.blogspot.com/2010/06/susanne-sundfr-spot-2010-and-brothel.html it's a deliberate quote from 'The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock,' which makes me respect her as an artist even more.
