Appreciate the cheesy power metal goodness...if any of you are into these dudes. Granted, I only know 2 of their albums but both are extremely :metal

I gave up on them after Grime vs Grandeur, which is near unlistenable to me.

Sceptre of Deception is probably as good as this band gets.  There is better power/cheese than these guys Cole.

I only own one Falconer album, I can't think of what it's called but it's really excellent.

Honestly dude, it seems to be that you listened to them when they had their shitty singer and not their first one. Listen to their S/T ASAP and tell me what you think. For me? :D :heart

Got their first album, that was really good but lost track of them after that. Loved the Swedish folk song at the end, sung in Swedish, can't remember what it was called, Kalla Ve Dadas Kug it sounded like phonetically. As with most of my cds its buried at the back of the attic. Will have to dig it out now and give it a blast.

I don't own that album.  I own the two I previously mentioned, and Chapters from a Forlorn Vale.  If its on Grooveshark I'll get back to you.

Of the 700+ albums I own, I think I'd be hard pressed to put Chapters in the top 300, and Sceptre in the top 200 (the only real complaint about that album is that is is short) and when it comes to power metal there are several bands I prefer.  Not every band / album can be great.

I just prefer Avantasia, Blind Guardian, Circle II Circle, Demon & Wizards, Eternity X, Evergrey, Sonata Arctica, and other power metal acts (which isn't my favorite sub-genre, so maybe Jeff or wolfking can provide more), and thought that they are better for getting into power metal, because like I said, Grime vs Grandeur is really, really bad.

wolfking - It wouldn't surprise me if you own Sceptre of Deception.

It is on Grooveshark. The track is Der tursson's Dottrar I Vange. It's stuck in my head now!

Hey mate, I just had a look and it's actually Among Beggars and Thieves.  Good album.
