FII because it has TAMP and Anna Lee!!!!!
Anna Lee might be the best JLB song I have ever heard. So meaningful and sung beautifully.
Octavarium...ehh. It's better than BC&SL, but not better than SC, I&W, or Scenes, which are my favourites. I *hate* the vocals on Octavarium (excluding the ever-popular G5 in Octavarium) because they're seem very rushed, whiny and slightly nazally.

*drops in 2 cents*
3 corn snakes, 1 boa, 1 python, 1 milk snake, 1 king snake, 1 rat snake, and a partridge in a pear tree.
RIP Piccolini and Maya

I'm still waiting for the day I really "get" FII. I think it's ok, but it's always been the album I enjoy the least, with exception of WDADU, which I almost never listen to.
Octavarium however, is a great album I think. I like how it sounds so different from everything they had done before.

Octavarium and Falling into Infinity are my two least favourite Dream Theater albums, with Octavarium coming out just ahead of Falling into Infinity. Here's how I rank the songs with respect to the rest of Dream Theater's catalogue (out of 94 songs):

Octavarium
20   Octavarium
26   These Walls
41   Panic Attack
51   Sacrificed Sons
58   The Root of All Evil
66   Never Enough
86   I Walk Beside You
90   The Answer Lies Within

Falling into Infinity
7   Lines in the Sand
17   Trial of Tears
18   Hell's Kitchen
36   New Millennium
61   Hollow Years
71   Just Let Me Breathe
73   Peruvian Skies
81   Take Away My Pain
88   Anna Lee
89   You Not Me
92   Burning My Soul
