I think it was a good decision to do that, especially since you mentioned the JLB-special appearance thread. I can't wait for this album.

Awesome. One of the albums I'm really excited about. Will the other twin-album come out next year?
I think I heard somewhere that they'll be released simultaneously. I could be horribly wrong though.

No, Misha said that they've been working on the writing for Juggernaut for a long time. From what I've heard, they just needed the time to record it and that's unlikely until the end of the year. They did, however, start writing for the fourth album the other day (source: Jake's instagram).

VERY excited for whatever comes out. While I enjoy the debut/s-t, it does have many twist and turns without much focus on hooks. I know Passenger is an old song from a side project of some of the members, but that song is great. And the s/t very much felt like Misha's riffs pushed into songs from over the years IMO, as it was. Hopefully the collective writing this time around lends itself well to better songs!

update on the 2 albums as of yesterday:

Q: Mish boy! Are you guys still doing that whole 2 album deal? You wanted to release 2 albums 6 months apart or something? And one was a concept album?
smile

A: Couldn't do it if we wanted to do the Dream Theater tour sadly, we are writing the concept album now!
