Lucky you. They're not coming to Ohio, at all. So I'm a bit frustrated.

Yes, lucky me! It's about time. They didn't come to Ohio when I lived there.

Scarlet is the one song from PII I never listen to, so when they announced that that was the song that was getting amusic video I was dissapointed.

But I have to say, that video had me actually laughing out loud. Hilarious.

Interesting (and long) interview about all sorts of things. What caught my attention was the stuff about Juggernaut and the writing dynamics of the members of the band.

Saw them in Corpus opening for Deftones. Only went for Periphery; was still completely worth it. Got to BS with a few of them after the show; what a great group of guys - each time I've seen them, they'll hang out with the fan(s) afterward. They've gotten better and better each time I've seen them - from instrumental in Cleveland to opening for DT in Albany to rocking with Sponce in Corpus Christi. Tight show and they managed to really get the crowd going - it's so awesome to see people get into great new music this way!

So I just found this band. They're an instrumental prog metal band with a strong resemblance to Periphery/Bulb. Really cool stuff!

I am so tired of instrumental djent-bands. I mean, it's not bad, it's just everywhere and gets so boring so quickly.

You really only need a few instrumental djent bands to get your fix, after that you get into the copycats and the soundalikes. It's good in small doses, I found, but really easy to burn out on.

Yeah Chimp Spanner is an instrumental djent band I can listen to. But that's probably because it's the first instrumental djent band I heard and pretty much everything else just sounds like Chimp Spanner to me.

This, except not just instrumental.

Hell, I can't even get through the entirety of either of Periphery's albums.
If a song comes on in shuffle, I'll enjoy it. But I can't take an entire album at once.

Fuck yes they just added us to their headline tour w/ Norma Jean at a real intimate place I never heard of. I am really stoked.

The amount of irrelevant (to me) information posted on their facebook is getting frustrating, are things even moving forward with Juggernaut?

I dunno, I also feel like updates are pretty slow. I don't mind waiting for something, but at least let me know that what I'm waiting for is actually making progress.  :lol

Alright, the shows tonight. I'll post about it when I return....

I hope Matt Halpern doesn't break his pinky tonight.

From their facebook:

"Big announcement coming tomorrow - stay tuned!"

I am really hoping this isn't just about some show happening on the other side of the world or that Misha has bought a new guitar or something. I just want some information on the next album, please.

Sweet, Periphery is actually headlining a NA tour for once. I'll definitely be at the 11/16 show.

I wish they'd stayed instrumental. Vocals completely ruin it for me.

I'd like to go to the Tampa show, but even if I don't have class, I'm short on a ride.
