It's weird because I ordered the bundle from the EU-store, and when I did, money was reserved/drawn from my account. Now however it seems like I have the money back, but I haven't gotten an email saying it's cancelled or anything, so I'm kinda confused. :P

Yeah I might. But on their website it said that the album was released on 17th of July, maybe a different release date in Europe or it just got delayed for some reason?

i think something happened with roadrunner and century media stepped in to release the cd instead and they added some extra time to the release. going off memory here, might be wrong

Pretty much correct. Roadrunner couldn't do the release due to the worldwide downsizing, so Century Media picked up in Europe/UK and then they needed to prepare the CDs. They needed extra time to prepare the CDs due to the fact that Century Media picked up the release so late compared to all the other labels, and the physical release date was pushed back two weeks. You can still get the album digitally, though.

Yeah I have the album digitally, listened to it 3 times so far (will listen again tomorrow) and it's really awesome.
Too bad the band has so many haters, I see lots of people downranking it, and I don't really feel like they give the music a fair chance, just the typical "I havent heard this but I gotta down-rate it because lol".. :/

so glad they didn't put out an instrumental version to reward people who whine

Listened to this all week now and I like it more and more every time. Muramasa/Ragnarok/Masamune is awesome.

so glad they didn't put out an instrumental version to reward people who whine

I would still like an instrumental version, Spencer is awesome on this album but I think it's interesting and fun to hear the instrumentals.

Yea, you could say everyone enjoyed the instrumental versions. After hearing the instrumental of Racecar, I got a brand new appreciation for that song and its layers, which is why its so damn good. However, the band deemed putting out another instrumental would be an insult to Spencer, since he is in fact a member of the band, too. I'm glad they didn't release an instrumental version on that fact alone.

However, people continue to bitch and moan about Spencer's vocals, which have improved incredibly since the debut, and continue to demand about having an instrumental version. I love the band's decision to not release an instrumental version based on this fact alone. People need to accept that Spencer is an important part of the band and that his vocals directly compliment their music on both their albums, especially the new one. By not releasing an instrumental version, they are not catering to the people who complain and rewarding them. And I think that illustrates the band's constant belief that they write music for themselves and they don't cater their music or releases to a certain audience. They want to be happy with the release and the fans need to accept it.

It also pisses me off as well that people downgrade the album or give it horrible reviews without even listening to a single song. People need to learn to grow the fuck up.

Not to mention that instrumental section and the riff it includes. Mark wrote it and its very DT-ish!

This album has grown with me very weirdly just like the last one did, only this one did it faster. At first I find most of the songs a bit weird, I think the vocal lines are to fast paced and hear most of the songs as just a mess of heavy sounds. But something keeps me listening and after a few spins it's like someone turns the lights on and all the songs seem so clear and it all just makes sense.

Only one not keepin' up with the others is Scarlet.

This.

Also sounds so much clearer when CD quality. But yeah, I had a bit of trouble digesting at first the same way as the above post, but it's fine now.

They cancelled the St. Paul date which really pissed me off.  That WAS my concert for the summer.  Oh well, now I'm still seeing Goatwhore, Exhumed, and Cerebral Bore along with this awesome local band so I should consider myself lucky.

Just gave this album its first listening.  Pretty damn incredible, a lot to take in but it sounds amazing.  Definitely my favourite section are the solos in Constant, incredible.

I hope this band will have a really bright future. They worked hard for this record. I know they wouldn't put out something they don't like, so I was bound to be pleased. Really amazing job on the vocals by Spencer. I didn't really see any additional praise for Matt's drumming, but he did such a great job making all those riffs tight.

Anyone else not dig this band? The only reason I'm intrigued to check out their new release is because of Guthrie Govan and John Petrucci's guest appearances.

i suggest you give this new album a fair chance. i believe it to be much better than their debut. (which i liked alot, this one is just stronger for every member) if you dont dig it then you probably never will, which is fine.

all the guitar solos on the cd are great. both guests and members
