Or maybe it could be like...30 SONGS IN 30 DAYS

And each has to be a completely different genre.

And every song has to be exactly 30 seconds longer than the rest.

And each one needs to be in a different key.

There are 12 keys. 30 songs. Major fail.

Edit: One could have something like a different mode for every song, in different keys.

Yeah, I know that.  It was a stupid joke.  I don't actually want rules like that.

Let's all submit all of our songs and then make them segue into each other to form one massive DTF epic.

Why? People will wait till the last minute to make their song anyways.

How long should the song be? Should I be ready to record on spot? etc etc.. time zone crap. 36-48 hours is a good timeframe for a 5 min composition - or longer.

+ What instruments do we use. Are we allowed to mix, do we have to play all our isntruments on our own, does it have to be gtr/piano.. etc

What i'm saying is I need more info, but I'm probably going to contest whatever the conditions are.

That's the point of only having one hour. It's a challenge.

Yeah sure I can get along with that. Worst part of that is ppl with better their recording stuff in their computers will have an advantage. Ah well. What if I wanna write a tune on the saxophone and I want like a piano backing me... stuff like that bugs me - just the sax would suck a lil, and I'm not nearly as skilled on the guitar or the piano as on the sax (even though I'm pretty good on those too).

If I enter one "round", do I have to enter every one? I don't know if I'd be able to/want to keep up with every round, but I also want to submit some stuff.

I doubt you will be the only one that turns in something that doesn't sound very professional, don't worry.

I think you're taking the competition aspect a bit too seriously.

Why not just start it next week or the week after? The point is to make a lot of songs, not win some meta-competition. (and yes I feel awesome because I said meta)

Lol. Sure thing. I wouldn't mind at all. This shouldn't be a one-time thing though. We should do this regularly.

I'm thinking it'll probably be weekly or bi-weekly assuming enough people are participating.

I'm in, but whatever I do will be done in FL Studio.

I already have something sorta like a chiptune song.

I suggest we do one that has to use sampling or just quickly include a riff or two in a song

Now that I'm actually getting a feel for LSDJ I might be able to contribute some horrible chiptune songs for this.

A general goes to war with the army he's got.  Its either crappy chiptune or crappy improv'd bass solos.
