Tobias, I wholeheartedly agree with your list, but...well, you only have 80 minutes to work with  :P
If I could fit more songs on a cd, A Sun of Your Own, We Spin the World and Other Half of the Sky definitely would have to be on there.

I made mine a double. Doh ;)

ariich. We're looking into some gigs in the UK right now actually. But right now we have a bit of a problem financing the gigs. More expensive to fly to the UK than to Holland etc. :(
Yeah that's understandable. Although if you made it down to somewhere like Holland, it wouldn't be much to come from there over to the UK. Keep us updated anyway, I'd love to see you guys live!

No one knows?

I bought mine from laser's edge (www.lasercd.com), but I looked for it just now for you, and it's not there. Maybe they don't carry the band anymore?
I'm sure Tobias will steer you in the right direction when he sees your post since he's in the band.
There is a copy going on Ebay right now, and you might try Amazon too, but they won't be brand new copies.

Not quite sure who carries this now actually. Laser CD usually has it.

Darkshade, go to the link to the site in my last post and find their phone number. Maybe they just don't have the cd on the site, I know I called them when I ordered mine.

That's a pretty cool-looking store. I'll have to check it out when I'm looking for new music.
I have to quote part of their description of 'Doorway'...
"Note the band intend to reissue A Doorway to Summer in late 2011 with one bonus track."

Man, I hope this still happens! My Doorway disc has had a clicking in Beyond the Door ever since I got it. I'd love to replace it with one with a bonus track.

Hehe, now where do people get this info from? ;)
We had plans to reissue A doorway with a better master, new cover and a bonus track, but then we started working on live album, DVD and a fourth studio album. Dunno which one you'd prefer? :P

Just got The Gettysburg Address yesterday, and it is awesome Very good production. I wish Doorway and Constant Bloom would have been on it,  But oh well. And I'm assuming that the Springsteen bit was left out for copyright reasons. Petter would have made Bruce jealous with his vocals.

Haha, no the Springsteen bit was left out because we hadn't rehearsed it and Simon messed up the piano ;)

And Doorway is on the Japan release, as a bonus track. One of the terms they had for releasing the album

Then maybe I'll have to look into getting the Japanese version. By the way, the drums really stood out in the mix on the recording. You really kicked ass!

Tobias, I trust you guys' judgment, but don't feel that you need to hurry to satisfy the fans. Lover's End took longer than expected, but was well worth the wait. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that you should take all the time you need to make the next batch turn into masterpieces like everything else has; if that means you need a year, so be it...Def Leppard took 5 years to make their perfect album. On the other hand, if you can get it done in the next 10 minutes, that's cool, too.  :P
And it seems like the bulk of your fans are fairly new to you, so let the first 3 albums tide them over for however long it takes you to perfect the new one. I know that's what I'll be doing. We're not going anywhere!
And by the way, all I could listen to on TGA at first was AKCP and OHOTS, for obvious reasons, but when the dust finally settled down from songs like those, it was really cool to hear how moments like the acapella breakdown in Heartland really shine live. So much great stuff on those cds. I can't believe how well you nail it live!

That would be amazing, I have been there many times! Usually to see Haken (who I believe you guys have played with at a festival or two?) as I know most of them personally, and also went to the Frost* christmas gig/party there a couple of years ago. Very cool little venue!

And now giving in and listening to the EP. What can I say? VERY nice, as usual!

Yeah, I loved all the callbacks to Lover's End spread through it. Great track, shame I'm on the wrong side of the planet to see them live and pick this EP up!

If so, is there any good sould that would pick it up one for me and send it over here? (with me paying all the expenses, of course)

BUMP!

Looking forward to an October(ish) release. I like the new epic that we were treated to last week, but the recording I made isn't great quality...enough to get me acquainted, though. It definitely sounds like it has some magic in it. I love when a 'good' song grows into something amazing, and Tobias, you guys are blessed with the ability to make that happen time and time again.

=========================

TECHNICAL NOTES
Recorded live at De Lakei, Helmond, Netherlands
Recording spot: right side of stage, standing FOS
Date: 21 september 2012.
Recorded on iRiver H340 using Rockbox, r18339 build 080824.
Recording format: 44.1 Khz WAV
Microphones: Church ST-11 Cardiods with STC-9000 preamp, high pass filter on
Sound enhancement with Soundforge 10.0 / Adobe 2.0
Sound editing with CD Wave editor and Traders Little Helper
Flacs created with FLAC frontend (level 7)
=========================

The Band
Simon Akesson: Keyboards & Lead Vocals
Petter Sandstrom: Acoustic Guitar & Lead Vocals
Pontus Akesson: Guitars & Backing Vocals
Johan Westerlund: Bass & Backing Vocals
Tobias Lundgren: Drums, Percussion & Backing Vocals
Sebastian Akesson: Keyboards, Percussion & Backing Vocals

=========================

PREPARING THE RECORDING
I recorded this show standing to the right side of the stage, just below the speakerstack.
There was no-one in front of me, and the audience was quiet, so an ideal recording situation.
During the first song the bass guitar was a bit loud and not balanced, and you hear some
distortion. This is not due to the recording, but this was as it came out the speakers.
Tracks were slightly EQ-ed and volume was a bit corrected, but I kept the dynamics in tact.
I use no compression. After correction, tracks were split at sector boundaries.
Flacs are tagged for convenient playback on compatible systems.

ABOUT THE CONCERT
Moon Safari was promoting their latest recording Lover's End Part 3, as an addition to the
Lover's End album they released in 2010. They are really nice guys and they make wonderful music.
Close harmony vocals, 12-string guitar and lots of nice guitar and keyboards. The set was not
too long, but it includes their latest work in full. Doorway was played as encore, instead of
Yasgur's Farm. Well maybe next time. For they will return when the new album is ready.
There were about 100 people attending and they were all very attentive to the music. That, and
a good recording spot, makes this a very nice capture of a band that will hopefully grow to
a much bigger audience. They really deserve it!
