Excuse me? He played the lead riff at the end, not the guitar solo. Just because it's high pitched with bends doesn't make it a solo. It's just a repeating melody. The solo was that shreddy thing in the middle.

It's a repeating melody that was established earlier. It's a lead riff. The solo just happens to be shreddy in the song, it doesn't mean it has to be. But that is the solo, not this section. This section is a lead riff.
