Hai guys, I wrote a music

I write a bunch of songs, but I wrote one today that I thought I would share with you guys because I think it's cool.

You'll have to pardon the quality, all I have is a little handheld camera to record it. But it's not awful. My voice isn't that great in this, but I haven't quite figured out how I want to sing it.

Anyway, here's the video. I hope you enjoy it somewhat.

Very cool riff, almost hypnotic. Good lyrics too, and singing fit very well. I don't hate you for making me stop my DMB, so that should be an indication of my feelings, it was good!  :lol

Add distortion and a ten minute keyboard solo and it'll be a great song. :neverusethis:

But for reals, i liked it.  Cool riff, good lyrics.  Just a bit too short.  I wantz moar.

I do write a good amount of actual songs like this (as opposed to Fossil Roo nonsense) but with my lack of microphones I can't really record them. Hopefully this gives me a bit of credit as a musician  :lol

I've actually got a bandcamp up with two diffrent songs on it, but I don't think I'm ready to present it yet. I would much rather have better recordings before doing so. But I have a uniform vision for the music I've been writing for it, so I guess it could end up being an album of mine.  :)

I definitely plan on expanding it some, but I don't know in what way. I really like doing nice little interludes and instrumental passages, but not having more lyrics than that might just be a bit too...uhm...experimental?

Beautiful melody on top of the chords. I love how that entire thing works, when the chord changes to a chord 'borrowed' from another key but the melody stays relatively 'basic'. Decent lyrics as well. I'm in pre-production with my band now, writing songs and working out arrangements. Lyric writing remains the biggest challenge though. There are SO MANY traps you can fall into!

Good job man, this could become a good song!

Thanks so much! Vocal melodies actually come very naturally to me. Which is a blessing, since that seems to be one of the most difficult parts to songwriting.
