You guys know it's just the second single from the album Nightmare, right? Not technically "new" in that the album came out earlier this year, so the song is kind of old.

What's interesting is that the single includes "Seize The Day (Live In Seattle)"... Carpe Diem, anyone? Also, according to wikipedia, the single was released back in mid October.

Even without knowing this, all it took was googling Avenged Sevenfold and clicking on their site's link to see that there was no such announcement...

If Welcome to the Family hadn't been written already and this was just a new EP and NOT a "single," I'd be curious if this is some kind of "Mike joining A7X full-time" EP. But Welcome to the Family is a song from "Nightmare," obviously written when The Rev was still alive. Granted it has kinda become Mike's theme song in the band with him being introduced with it every night, I really don't see why the fuss is all about.

Guys, I heard that the song "Almost Easy" by Avenged Sevenfold is about how little difficulty they had in stealing Mike Portnoy away from Dream Theater.

Could this strenuous connection be the proof that we've all been looking for?
