Do you feel it is acceptable practice for a business to charge one standard fee for all customers, whether the full extent of the product or service is realized? My boss charged $1500 flat fee for a particular service in NYC concerning fire services. However, this is based on an average; that is, some clients will cost us only $300 in work, while others may cost upwards to $3000 in work. Client A will be overcharged, while Client B will be undercharged. Is it a fair practice, that my boss, and since its standard practice, every company to "distribute" savings and costs among all clients?
