Nice work Chad.

I'm struggling now.  I feel there's a couple more I should know, but this is again like Lowdz, a tough one.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Sorry to make it so tough gents.  :-\  Some bands/albums I'm sure you'll know.  Most have been discussed on the forum in one way, shape or form.

Hints tomorrow morning (in about 12 hours or so)... any sooner, and Wolfie will clean house before anyone else wakes up.  And I'm gonna try to make the hints un-Googleable.   :P

Couple of hints for you now bud, since I plan on sleeping in tomorrow, so you're gonna miss the good and juicy hints.

A4, A5 and B4 were all used in my roulette.  See if that helps (and whether you can find 'em without referring back to the thread!).

Ding, ding and ding.  Sorry that you're probably asleep now, and missing the juicy hints.  Here they are.

B3 - Release from Prog Rock Records.  The image is of the Earth, with Africa in the bottom left.
C1 - It might sound like it, but it's not Frost*y
C2 - One of the greatest (and I mean GREATEST) selling albums of all time
C4 - Three letter band (no vowels) that's an acronym.
D1 - A LEGENDARY record producer was the head of this band's s-t (and only) album.
D5 - Band = continent
E1 - Band was ultimately born as a result of auditions for The Human Equation.
E4 - The vocalist was only 14 years old when this album was recorded
E5 - 4th solo album from a former "Idol" judge

Oh, and if you don't know Epysode and/or Presto Ballet ... give those a shot..  Epysode is quite heavy.

Is E5 Jennifer Lopez??

Good lord no.  Ok, moar hints.

C4 - The lead singer for this band (he's pretty legendary as well) is more well known for his original band (especially their debut album from the late 70s).
D1 - This producer is probably best known for producing Metallica's s/t (and almost all of their releases since then).  He's also worked with Crue, DLR, Skid Row and several other well known artists.
E5 -  I didn't say "American" Idol.

I'll give it to the end of the day.  I gotta think Lowdz will know both albums and/or artists (E5 ain't her best album by any means ... but I needed that eyeball ).  You'll probably know 'of' them.

knowing them and recognising them are two different things  ;D

I recognise the eye... and checked US and uk idols, but the whole world has an "Idol" these days.
The other I don't recognise and the clues haven't helped. Losing my touch. Thought it was GTR but doesn't seem to be.

Ok, last hints then.

C4 - the lead singer's original band had 3 very well known Classic Rock albums.  Also, he committed suicide in 2007.

E5 - Canadian idol. She also appeared on the second Roswell Six album.

I had an idea. Let me know what you think.

Instead of just random order it goes like this: each row is a different genre, and each column gets progressively harder, so 1 would be the easiest and 5 would be the hardest. It could almost be like a jeopardy kind of thing. I had debated, but am not sure now about making the genres get harder each row as well. The reason I am unsure of this is because someone might be a fan of a particular or obscure genre and just get all the ones from that genre that are supposed to be "hard".

I know that the whole points thing was debated a couple of pages back, and I agree that there should be none normally. But I had thought about giving points to this particular idea, where the hardest ones would be worth more than the easier ones. Since there first people usually can get a lot of the easier ones right away, since these would be worth less, it would not be as great an advantage to be the first person in the game. Haven't made my mind up about it yet, so I am not sure about the points idea.

I think it's too hard to order them in the way of difficulty, as you said people might find ones easier than the others and vice versa.

If no one has one ready, I can have one up in 12 hours or less.

Sass Jordan- Present. I do have a SJ album but not this one. I've got Rats- pretty good actually.

I've got her first four ... all very different styles.  Tell Somebody is very poppy; Racine is soft-rock/bluesy; Rats is very hard-edged rock, and Present is a mixed bag, but more like Racine than anything else.  Rats is a great album.  I've got to check out here 2000s releases.

Interesting idea Freezing... but I think it should be the author's choice on how to do it.  For instance, my "eye" theme was a bit of a twist.
