Hmm...I thought E1 could have been Aerosmith maybe Toys in the Attic, but it doesn't seem to match up.

Along similar lines but the 80s sound was more AOR- the 70s stuff shared a Led Zep sound but was generally more folky. Well regarded singer who still has pipes.

Yeah, I'm drawing a blank too.  Thought maybe Kevin Bacon, but his albums were in the 90s - and his band was him and his brother.  There's a bunch of celebs that have been in bands, but I'm having trouble figuring out which "A-list" has anything of any worth.

Edit... and as soon as it's solved, I've got one ready to go.

Okily dokily then.  I have no idea if this is gonna be too hard, or too easy.  Took a while for me to put it together (thanks to Scrop for the directions).  But, found a few shortcuts after a while, and I think subsequent ones will be quicker/easier to do.
