I got The Sugarcubes album Life's Too Good a long time ago, because I thought the song and video for "Coldsweat" was cool. I found the rest of the album to be pretty bizarre, but I thought Björk had a cool voice even if she had a really weird side. I've never managed to get into her solo stuff, but I still love "Coldsweat." Are any of her solo albums in the same vein?

Also, I posted this same story and question last time someone started a Björk thread, and no one answered. I wonder if things will be somehow different this time...

I haven't listened to much of the Sugarcubes, but I would recommend the album Debut, since it was released around the time she was in the Sugarcubes and she just considered her own music as a side project. I don't think it will be too similar, but it's probably as close as you'll get.

While Bjork's cyberpolice have already taken the 2nd link out, the first was very good. Strange, though. I can see how her personality is attractive though. And his voice is very, very good.

Thanks for the suggestions. That first song was kinda weird but sounds pretty much like other stuff of hers that I've heard. I think I'll just download a bunch of stuff and check it out, starting with Debut.

I realize that this is Music Discussion, but I don't think there's enough discussion about how damned cute she is. I mean, she's a total nutcase, but she seems really cool, and damn she's cute.

She is cute, but in a nutcase sort of way. Like a "do you really want to take advantage of that girl who's got daddy issues and just wants to be loved?" kind of way.

...But I'm not gonna be that guy to start calling people nutcases simply for being different, so ignore that.

I really love it how Björk can explore so many genres, but still sounding so Björk.
The only 3 albums i fully know this far, (Homogenic, Vespertine and Debut) are all very different from each other, but they are still great in their own way.
