What WOULD be "a day you would remember forever?"

And I'm definitely going to disagree that a significant number of people won't take advantage of this. I know at least 4 people who haven't even gotten around to replacing their records yet, but would still like to sometime. At least one of them would gladly just buy it for his iPod and skip the physical copy altogether.

Honestly, I only buy MP3 downloads because I'm too lazy to order physical things from amazon, plus having them shipped to Hong Kong is kinda of troublesome. If it weren't for that, I'd still listen to my records. When I'm home, that's what I do, no matter how bad not being able to scrobble hurts.

Examples of days I'll remember forever: Graduation day. Bother's wedding. The day I moved to Hong Kong. In the future, the day I'll move back. The The day I get married. The day my first child is born. The day someone close to me, a parent, relative, or (god forbid) significant other dies.

Point being, not The Beatles becoming available for digital download.  ;D

I love iTunes, but I hate those annoying copyright things. I think King Crimson has the same thing going.

Yeah, I prefer amazon MP3. It's cheaper, and more formats are available. I'd be willing to give iTunes a shot if they gave users more freedom, though.

The point I was making was that seriously expecting Apple to be able to provide any of those experiences is almost as silly as expecting Old Spice to make you smell like Neil Harris. It's just a slogan, it's not meant to be taken so literally :P

True, that one was totally Apple's fault.

I prefer CD's. Yes it's expensive, but im lol'ing at the standard 128 kbps mp3 from Itunes and the "Itunes plus" at a whopping 256 kbps. You can rip CD's to whatever format and quality you want.

I do admire iTunes selection though. Ohh the look on my face when I saw they have Bondage Fruit and Koenjihyakkei...
