Do it! They're honestly one of my favorite bands. I still need to get their new album, but I have "Tres Brujas"... check that out too!

God's Of The Earth?   ???

Pfffft.  That albums a flying turd compared to Age of Winters and Warp Riders.

If anyone's looking for more of the sludgey/drone aspects of stoner metal, listen to "Holy Mountain" by Sleep.  If you want more of the groove-laden riff heavy stuff, listen to "Mantra III" or "Ad Astra" by Spiritual Beggars.  There are many others to look as well, but these will establish which side of the coin you prefer, and you can go from there.

Edit:  And seriously, those who think that listeners to Stoner rock/metal must smoke bud or whatever are completely hollow in their head.  Seriously.

I've been listening to a lot of Electric Wizard lately, mainly just their latest album, Black Masses, over an over. It's pretty amazing shit.

I have never touched drugs either, but I can't resist their tongue-in-cheek aspect to their music and the low, wailing riffs and crushing basslines.  (And how about the Mellotron on "The Nightchild"?)

I can't stop listening to "Crypt of Drugula" for some reason...creepy as hell. And when it comes to music, I can't get enough of straight-up creepy.

First, you will require Crowbar because Kirk Windstein is also a lead guitarist of Down. Down is a supergroup actually, and they all love Black Sabbath (specifically Iommi).
Crowbar's self titled I actually heard last Friday. Massively heavy.

I recommend 1993's Crowbar. That's their best as well. They have a new one out maybe next month! I hope so.
Stonehelm gave me a link to their unreleased album, they're unsigned, but that stuff sounds SOOOOOO stoned. You'll wanna take up mary jane :D. They're quite Sabbath influenced too!
I can PM you a link.

Epic thread bump.

Was doing some cd browsing today where I surprisingly saw a copy of Sleep's Jerusalem!!  I instantly thought of this thread and Dopesmoker being recommended.  I looked on the back and saw it was indeed one track at 52 minutes length.  I picked it up and am about 12 minutes through it at the moment.  Insanely brutal stuff.  Again, I'm not a pot head at all, but this shit is damn good.  I'm loving Pike's soloing at the moment.  I love how he is clearly Iommi influenced by tracking two different solos in the left and right channels.

I have to search for Dopesmoker now, as I read it's 10 minutes longer.  :metal

Is "Om" considered stoner? They don't sound a lot like other stoner bands I know, but I always feel I should be smoking something while listening to them.

Also, The Melvins are awesome :metal, although I like Bullhead more than Houdini.

Bumping this thread because of the newly released The Sword song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqodh4DEHOc

Also, one of my favorite doom bands Ahab is coming out with their 3rd album "The Giant" this month. Here are samples and the title track:

Yob are basically the best stoner/doom/sludge metal band to have ever graced my ears. And you know what's great, fucking missing their show here in Seattle because I was born in 1991 and not 1990.
I felt its length in quite a few places.
