Alright ladies and other ladies, here is the moment we've all come so far to experience.
1. Alex MauerNo man is keeping the spirit of chiptune alive more than he. Mauer composes memorable music from the idea that chiptune has a very special place outside of just danceable music. His compositions recall a time when you came home after school, booted up your game system, and hummed along to the music because it represented something more than just music. It represented an emotion. Fear, elation, anger, you name it, there was a composition for it.
You really can't go wrong with any of his albums, but I would recommend
Antarctica to start with.
